Canadian Ambassador Ms Sabine Nölke is scheduled to visit the University of Twente on Monday 26 June. During the lunch break (12.30-13.30) Ambassador Nölke will give a lecture entitled “Canada 150”. The location is IDEATE in the DesignLab. Attendance is free of charge for University of Twente students and employees and the ambassador will answer questions from the audience.
Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. The Canadian embassy in the Netherlands wishes to strengthen ties with Dutch students and universities. Ambassador Nölke will discuss the importance of internationalization, gender diversity and the role of the Canadian government in these matters.
During her visit to the University of Twente, Ms Nölke will also meet with Executive Board President Victor van der Chijs and university Internationalization Officers. She will also speak with the board of study association Astatine (Advanced Technology degree programme) and their programme director. Members of Astatine will be going on a study tour to Canada this summer.
