The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free trade agreement which covers virtually all sectors and aspects of Canada-EU trade in order to eliminate or reduce barriers.
Seven years of negotiation have resulted in the most advanced and progressive proposed trade agreement to date. It contains ambitious chapters on sustainable development, labour and the environment. CETA will not only help foster trade and economic activity, but also allows the EU to shape globalization according to European values. It will benefit producers, manufactures, exporters and consumers and will create jobs in many sectors in both the EU and Canada.
Topics to be covered include what is CETA, what is the EDC and how can it help you, what tools are available, what are the timelines and what customs tariffs will change.
