October Lightning Talks and Kunsthal Rotterdam Visit
Following the government announcement on Tuesday that the 1.5m distance rule has been rescinded, we can finally plan for an in-person event.
For our October Lightning Talks, we would like to combine the online portion with a visit to the Kunsthal Rotterdam which has just opened the Magnetic North Exhibition featuring the Canadian Group of Seven. We will have a guided tour of the exhibition at 3pm, the talks at 4pm (in-person and online) and then a networking drinks & snacks session at 5pm. This will be a great opportunity for our new Trade Commissioners to meet some members in person and for us to introduce our Dutch colleagues to some iconic Canadian culture.

Meet The New Trade Commissioners
Early in September, Sameena Qureshi returned to Canada to prepare for another assignment. On behalf of all the members, we would like to thank her for all her support and collaborative efforts during the last 5 years.
Although Sameena will be sadly missed, we are excited to welcome her replacement - Adam Barbolet. In addition, the summer also saw the return to Canada of Caroline Balduc. She has been replaced by Fanny Bousquet who will focus on Science, Tech and Innovation. Lets meet them and get to know them.

In the spring this year, NCCC member Houser Henry & Syron interviewed a number of CEO's and Directors, including some of our members, for their Mid-Market Report . The results are in.
Will there be a return to business as usual? Many interviewees noted their efforts to diversify their supply chains (many focusing on increasing the localisation of their supply network). Those with multiple sites improved their inventory management and procurement systems but will localisation continue? Will leaders continue to invest in new technology and automation? While some clearly expect that the opening of borders will revive some face-to-face activities, it is also clear that digital will remain a key part of the customer and partner interaction.
