The most advanced and most productive community of greenhouse growers in the world are leading the industry into a new era. Scarcity of resources such as skilled labour, water and energy is pushing the greenhouse community to minimize its dependence on these resources. New, fit-for-purpose high-tech solutions are key to producing a safe and sufficient food supply to the ever growing world population.
RoboCrops2021 is the international event to accelerate this movement. Make sure you are part of it and pre-register now. RoboCrops 2021 is the second edition of an annual event where global leaders in greenhouse horticulture and the high-tech community meet to discuss real-life challenges and potential high-tech solutions. Growers, tech companies and students will be challenged to the limit in the extensive programme packed with hackathons, informative sessions and matchmaking which are taking place at World Horti Center in Naaldwijk / Westland and Tomatoworld in Honselersdijk. The aim of RoboCrops is to speed up the development of robotics in greenhouse horticulture. RoboCrops therefore focuses on both the hardware (sensors, robot arms, grippers, autonomous vehicles) and the decision-supporting software required to control the robots.
RoboCrops is organized by FME, World Horti Center and InnovaitionQuarter.
Meet the investor
During both days investment managers of InnovationQuarter will be on site to talk to.
Hortiheroes / AVAG student academy
Talk about your needs concerning finding (young) talents to join your company. A team of specialist of HortoHeroes / AVAG would like to discuss your ideas on this topic.
November 24: Today
During this day the focus will be on developments in greenhouse horticulture that are (close to) commercial availability. The aim focus is on inspiring and informing, but above all knowledge sharing and matchmaking.
Developers of greenhouse robots worldwide will be invited to pitch during the invent and will be able to showcase their solutions.
Registration & light lunch and possibility to meet the robot builders and autonomous growing specialist at their booth.
Opening - Introduction & Program
Maarten Steinbuch, High-Tech Systems Professor at TU/e - "Are robots our friends?"
Product Pitches: leading (inter)national robotic developers will pitch their state of the art solutions.
FME, InnovationQuarter - Join the RoboCrops revolution right now!
Jim Stolze, International Tech Entrepeneur: Digital transformation – using data and AI
Drinks, Walking dinner & Networking
End of event
November 25: Tomorrow
On this day the focus will be on solutions that will take more time to develop. Think about bringing together ALL the various data sources and technologies at a horticultural company. For this, system engineering plays an important role (Digital Twins, Cyber Physical Systems). On this day developers of greenhouse robots worldwide will also be present but more with a view to discussing future development, new systems and business models.
Peter Jens, Director Strategic Alliances - A critical view on the 'bright' future of horticulture
Danny Hetharia - Sobolt: AI: From buzz to business
Matěj Karásek - Flapper drones: Bio-inspired flying robots for greenhouses
Student challenge winner ceremony
Drinks & Networking
Students will be working in Tomatoworld during a hackathon with students of various educational institutions. During that hackathon, they will apply their expertise to various actual challenges, and thereby help accelerate developments in the field of robotics.
